FOR UNTO Y’ALL

From the days of the Old West comes this unconventional version of the ageless story of Jesus’ birth, as told with the humor and wisdom of old Doctor Trotter (just plain “Doc” to his friends).

Doc introduces us to the angel Gabriel, a six-gun totin’ masked man dressed in white, as Gabriel tells Mary and Joseph the good news – They will bring God’s own Son, the long-awaited Light, into their dark world.  After the young couple brave their way across the Texas Territory to the little town of Bethlehem, Mary gives birth to Jesus in a livery stable.  Finally, we see Gabriel and his heavenly posse announce the Good News to a rowdy bunch of cowboys, working their herd on the nearby plains.  The cowboys rush off to see this newborn Savior the angels sing about, and the celebration of the Gospel begins.

FOR UNTO Y’ALL is simply a re-telling of Luke’s classic story of the birth of the Son of God.  Only this time, the place is the Old West, instead of ancient Israel.  But while the setting may change, the truth never will.  Like old Gabriel puts it – “For unto y’all is born this day, right over yonder in the town of Bethlehem, a Savior who is Christ the Lord!”  And that, my friends, is the Truth – with or without the drawl.

Robert Sterling has done a fabulous job of creating this work that has truly ministered to the masses.  It’s our prayer that his creation will once again minister to you and draw you and yours ever closer to the Lord this Christmas Season.  Merry Christmas!
